Luke 2:10-11 New King James Version (NKJV) 10 Then the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
Good- Valid; not weak or defective; complete or sufficiently perfect; wholesome; uncorrupted; kind; affectionate; pleasant; cheerful; festive; to increase happiness, welfare, or prosperity; spiritual advantage or improvement.
Tidings - news; advice; information; intelligence; account of what has taken place, and was not known before.
Take a look at the definition of good. Does it sound like Jesus to you? The definition is from Noah Webster's dictionary of 1828. I found it interesting that the word "good" describes Jesus. You see Jesus is valid. Jesus is not weak or defective. Jesus is a spiritual advantage or improvement. Share the good news. Share the Jesus news. It is for you and for all people.
Speak the Word: Thank you Father for the good news of Jesus. Thank you for changing my life and giving me everything that is good. Thank you for all that you have done for me.
