Exodus 14:19-20 New Living Translation (NLT) 19 Then the angel of God, who had been leading the people of Israel, moved to a position behind them, and the pillar of cloud also moved around behind them.
20 The cloud settled between the Israelite and Egyptian camps. As night came, the pillar of cloud turned into a pillar of fire, lighting the Israelite camp. But the cloud became darkness to the Egyptians, and they couldn't find the Israelites.
God used one angel to protect the people of Israel as Moses led them to the Red Sea. It only took one angel to stop the Egyptian Army from attacking Moses as he led the people. The must have created a huge cloud. That angel was not some wimpy little thing. That angel was a warrior angel sent by God to protect the people of Israel.
Hebrews 8:6 New International Version (NIV) 6 But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, and it is founded on better promises.
Now you have a better covenant than people of Israel had with God when Moses led them out of Egypt. You have better promises and Jesus himself is the mediator of your covenant. God used angels under the Old Covenant in order to bring about His promise to the people of Israel. Therefore, God is going to use angels to minister a better covenant with better promises.
Hebrews 1:14 New International Version (NIV) 14 Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
Angels have been sent by God to serve you. Their job is make sure that your covenant with God is enforced. Angels have been sent to protect you and to minister to you. Thank God for ministering angels.
Speak the Word: Father, thank you for sending angels to minister to me.
