Psalm 91:7-8 New International Version (NIV)
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
Imagine standing in a large field and an angry mob is coming towards you. They reach out to touch you and their hands pass through you without harming you. Try as they might they can't touch you or harm you and you simply walk through the crowd and go on about your business. That is what happened to Jesus.
Luke 4:28-30 New International Version (NIV)
28 All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. 29 They got up, drove him (Jesus) out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him down the cliff. 30 But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way.
You are protected by the love of God. It was God's love that protected Jesus and it is the same love that protects you. Get to know God's love for you. God's love is the basis for your relationship with Him.
