1 Corinthians 13:5 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
5 (Love) does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,

What does it take to make you angry? When someone says nasty things about you do you get angry? If they lie about you, what do you do? If they steal something you treasure, how do you react?

Love is not easily provoked. In life you will be provoked. It is unavoidable. The rich and famous and the down and out will get provoked from time to time. The issues is not "if" you will get provoked. The issue is "How will you react?"

James 1:19-20 New International Version (NIV)
19 My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20 for man's anger does not bring about the righteous life that God desires.

When we get angry most of the time we mess it up. So just STOP! Stop whatever you are doing and take some time to be with God. It is not as big an emergency as you might think it is. 5,000 years from now, when you are sipping drinks in your heavenly mansion, will that "emergency" be an issue? You won't even remember what it was. So STOP! Be aware of the situation, your resources, and make a plan of action. Be slow to take action. In fact WAIT until you can do it in love.

Speak the Word:Father, I am SLOW to speak and QUICK to listen. I am sensitive to your leading and guiding and I will not let my flesh control the situation.
