1 Corinthians 13:2 New International Version (NIV) 2 If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
You can have the faith to move mountains, but if you don't have love, then you are nothing. As you grow in faith you will see your prayers answered. You will see your body healed when you are ill. You will see bills get paid when you didn't have enough to pay them. You will see your children serving God when you thought this would never happen. But, to grow in faith you have to use your faith to help others.
Galatians 5:6 New American Standard Bible (NASB) 6 ...but faith working through love.
Your faith requires love in order to work. You have to love those people. Yes, I am talking about the ones that are hard to love. They may even hate you or make fun of you. In order for your faith to work you will have to love them. Now I don't mean love in the sense of having warm fuzzy feelings towards them. But I am talking about "Agape" love. Agape love has to do with "actions" rather than "feelings". Agape love will treat them right. Agape is not self seeking. It is not touchy, fretful or resentful. Agape does not seek it's own rights or it's own way. Agape seeks to help and not to hurt. Walk in love and your faith will overcome the world.
Speak the Word:Father, my faith works because I walk in love with everyone around.
