Malachi 3:10 Amplified Bible (AMP)10 ...prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
This is the only time the Bible says that we could test or prove God. God wants to show you how much He loves you. God wants to prove his love for you. God wants to bless you. In fact, God is so interested in blessing you that He even challenges us to test Him.
The word blessing is abundant, liberal, prosperity. Now we are not talking about just enough. This is not about having enough to pay the bills and run down to McDonalds for a hamburger. This is about having more than enough to meet your needs. More than enough to meet the needs of others. More than enough for every good work.
God said that you "shall not be room enough to receive it". My Pastor told us about somebody that received 4 cars in a few months. Now, these cars are paid for. No loans, 100% free and clear title to the car. This family cannot fit all the cars in the garage. They have to park some of them on the street. They did not have enough room to receive the blessing God poured out on them.
Now you may be asking "So what is my part? What do I have to do?"
Malachi 3:10 Amplified Bible (AMP)10 Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Speak the Word: Father, I will prove you. I have brought you 10% of my gross income and you will pour out a blessing I do not have enough room to receive.
