Psalm 23:5 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;

You have anointed my head with oil;

My cup overflows.

God has placed the Holy Spirit within you. God placed in you every anointing that He has.

1 John 5:7 Amplified Bible (AMP)
7 So there are three witnesses in heaven: the Father, the Word and the Holy Spirit, and these three are One;

The Holy Spirit and God are one. They are the same. You have Holy Spirit inside of you. Learn from the Holy Spirit. Cooperate with the Holy Spirit, be lead by the Holy Spirit and you will find that He is like oil in your life.

What does oil do in your car engine? It lubricates the engine. It makes hard things easy. That is what the Holy Spirit will do in your life. Stop listening to your flesh and listen to the Holy Spirit. Let the Holy Spirit make the hard things easier for you. You will find that the He will help to reduce the friction in your life. Let the Holy Spirit make your life go smoother.

"My cup overflows". Ok, put a cup in your hand. Now imagine that God is pouring your favorite beverage into that cup. The cup is filling up. It is ¾ full. Does God stop when your cup is full? No God keeps pouring. It starts spilling over the side. Do you pull your hand back and say "Stop that's enough". You might even say "That's wasteful". Hey, if God wants to fill your cup till it runs over don't complain! Wouldn't it be considered rude to stop God? In fact, maybe there is something that we can learn here. Maybe we could learn to be more generous, more giving.

Mark 14:3-6 New Living Translation (NLT)
3 Meanwhile, Jesus was in Bethany at the home of Simon, a man who had leprosy. During supper, a woman came in with a beautiful jar of expensive perfume. She broke the seal and poured the perfume over his head. 4 Some of those at the table were indignant. "Why was this expensive perfume wasted?" they asked. 5 "She could have sold it for a small fortune and given the money to the poor!" And they scolded her harshly.

6 But Jesus replied, "Leave her alone. Why berate her for doing such a good thing to me?

Let God fill your cup till it runs over. Let God bless you so that you can bless others with your overflow.

Speak the Word: Father, the Holy Spirit is like oil in my life, my life is easier and my blessings overflow onto those around me.
