Psalm 23:4 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil, for You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Can the shadow of a dog bite you? It may be the most viscous dog on the earth but his shadow cannot hurt you. The shadow of death cannot hurt you. In fact, once you are a born again, blood washed believer, death can no longer hurt you. Death is no longer an end but rather a beginning. Death has lost it's sting and is the beginning of your life in heaven. Death will be a transition from a world of pain to a world without pain and world without tears.
In this life you may have to walk through some nasty valleys, but remember this life is only temporary. This life is subject to change. Stand on the promises of God and watch it change for the better.

18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
Love will drive fear out of your life. The more you are rooted and grounded in the love of God the greater your confidence will be. Your courage will increase as you develop an intimate and personal understanding of how much you are loved by God. When you turn the light on in a room the darkness is driven out. Love drives out fear in the same way. God's love for you will drive fear out of every part of your life.
Speak the Word: Father, I will not fear. I am firmly rooted and grounded in the love of Jesus.
