3 John 1:2 King James Version (KJV)
2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

3 John 1:11 Amplified Bible (AMP)
11 Beloved, do not imitate evil, but imitate good. He who does good is of God; he who does evil has not seen (discerned or experienced) God [has enjoyed no vision of Him and does not know Him at all].

It takes money to do "good". Yes, you can offer your friendship. You might fix someone a meal from time to time. You can always give an encouraging word. But, it takes money to build a church, to produce Christian Television, to send missionaries around the world, and to feed the poor. It takes money to do the "good" things that God has called us to do.

1 Timothy 6:10 New American Standard Bible (NASB)
10 For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

It is the "love" of money that is the root of evil! You can be broke and have a "love" for money. You can also be "Rich" and be a man after God's heart. The Bible says that King David was a man after God's heart. When it came time to build the Temple King David gave 55.8 Billion Dollars worth of Gold and Silver. King David was rich and the Bible says that King David was a man after God's heart. King David loved God more than anything else.

Money is not the root of evil. It has to do with where your heart is. You cannot love both God and Money. Love God and use money to do God's will. When you do God will prosper you greatly.

Speak the Word: Father, I love you and I use money to do "good". I am pursuing God with all of my mind, my strength, and my money.
