1 Peter 1:15 Amplified Bible (AMP)
15 But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living.
Holy - Properly, whole, entire, or perfect in a moral sense. Hence, pure in heart, temper, or disposition; Hallowed; consecrated or set apart to a sacred use, or to the service or worship of God. Noah Webster Dictionary 1828
God has called you. God has taken you out of the world. He has separated you from the world. Your future is heaven. You have the spirit of God inside of you. The power of God is in you. God thinks you should be whole, entire, and perfect in a moral sense. God wants you to be just like He is.
1 John 4:11-12 Amplified Bible (AMP)
11 Beloved, if God loved us so [very much], we also ought to love one another.
12 No man has at any time [yet] seen God. But if we love one another, God abides (lives and remains) in us and His love (that love which is essentially His) is brought to completion (to its full maturity, runs its full course, is perfected) in us!
The key to holiness is walking in love. Acting like God is walking in love. Taking the time to help others. Giving financially to Christian ministries and Christian businesses that share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Walking in love is giving your time for the benefit of other people. Get involved in the work of God. Get involved with serving, helping other people. This is what being holy is all about. Be a part of what God is accomplishing in the earth and your reward from God will be great.
Mark 9:41 New International Version (NIV)
41 I tell you the truth, anyone who gives you a cup of water in my name because you belong to Christ will certainly not lose his reward.
Speak the Word: Father, you are holy. You have called me to be holy. I separate myself from the world to do your work. I choose to serve the body of Christ. I will not lose my reward.
