1 John 4:7-8 Amplified Bible (AMP)
7 Beloved, let us love one another, for love is (springs) from God; and he who loves [his fellowmen] is begotten (born) of God and is coming [progressively] to know and understand God [to perceive and recognize and get a better and clearer knowledge of Him].
8 He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love.
God is love. Could you say "I am love"? Love is not just something God does. Love is what God is. Water is made up of two molecules of Hydrogen and one molecule of Oxygen. If you remove the Hydrogen from water then you no longer have water. You will only have Oxygen. If you remove love from God you will no longer have God. If it isn't love it isn't God.
1 John 4:18 New King James Version (NKJV)
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.
I know a woman who has back pain all the time. She thinks God did this to her to teach her something. She says she has learned compassion through her pain. But how could love torment someone? In perfect love there is no fear. In perfect love there is no torment. This woman is trying to tell me that suffering, pain, punishment, and torment are the tools of love. God does not use torment to teach His children. God has perfected love and there is no fear, no torment in love.
John 10:10 Amplified Bible (AMP)
10 The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).
Sufferings, pain, punishment, torment, and fear are the tools of the Devil. The Devil came to steal, kill and destroy. Jesus came so that we could have abundant life. Satan came to steal our health, to kill our body, and to destroy our life. That is not the work of God. It is the work of Satan. Jesus came so that we could live and enjoy life to the full.
Speak the Word: Father thank you for giving me abundant life. In Jesus I am living life to the full.
