1 First, I want all of you to pray for everyone. Ask God to bless them. Give thanks for them.
2 Pray for kings. Pray for all who are in authority. Pray that we will live peaceful and quiet lives. And pray that we will be godly and holy.
3 That is good. It pleases God our Savior.

Take a moment and pray with me for our country.

Father, we lift up President Bush. We pray that you would strengthen him in his physical body. We pray that President Bush is in perfect health from the crown to the ground. We pray that you would give him wisdom and understanding for the decisions he is making. That you speak to President Bush and lead him according to your will. That your will is done in his life and throughout all of our country.

Father, we pray for all those that are in authority. That you would lead and guide them in the decisions that they are making. Make your will obvious and easy for all of our governmental authorities to follow. Promote those that are faithful in following your leading and guiding. Remove those from office that refuse to follow your leading and guiding.

Father, as the elections approach this year I pray that you would stir up the Body of Christ into action. Stir them up to get informed and to vote. I pray that the body of Christ would take the time to determine which leaders are following you and to vote them into office. Father, please make it obvious to us who is following you and who is rejecting you, so that we can vote for your man or woman. I pray that your man or woman would have favor with the Body of Christ, the public, and the media. I pray that your will be done in the voting booth as it is done in heaven. In Jesus Name. Amen.

As we approach the elections this year we want to encourage you to go out and get registered to vote. Find out who you are voting for, and cast your vote according to the will of God. Vote for the men and women that serve God with all of their heart, mind, and strength. Vote for those who uphold the morals taught in the word of God. Vote for God's man or woman!
